Caroline Fortune, HIS
Hearing Instrument Specialist
I am the provider in the Brandon and Sun City Center offices. I love to smile, it puts my patients instantly at ease because hearing loss is a scary thing. When you lose the ability to understand what is going on in the world, it can be a scary place. I have been helping patients with their hearing impairments for almost 6 years. My patients know I will do all I can to help them.
Lived in Pennsylvania most of my life and relocated to Florida almost 3 years ago. In my free time my hobbies include cooking, crafting, anything to do with the beach, riding my motorcycle and rescuing/fostering/rehabilitating abused dogs. I have quite a “pack” of my own too – foster mom failure.
Cheryl Remillard, HIS-T
Hearing Instrument Specialist Trainee
Cheryl Remillard is a HIS-T and Audiologists Assistant. She is originally from Searsport, Maine and moved to Florida in 2017. Cheryl attended SDHS and completed courses at Nova Southeastern University as an Audiologists Assistant in Amplification and Diagnostic Testing. Cheryl started working at Hearing Centers of Southwest Florida in 2020. She began working in the industry in 2004 and was drawn to the profession because she loves helping improve people’s lives by helping them hear the best they can.
One of the things Cheryl loves most about saving hearing lives are the stories patients tell about hearing birds again or for the first time being able to engage in a conversation with friends and family that they were not able to do before they started wearing hearing aids. It truly changes their lives and improves the quality of life for them and their families. It brings a smile to their face.
